Since 1912, Loch na Bo has been part of our family— though I often feel as though I look upon it for the first time. Its serenity and escape is still captivating. Its grand nature enthrals with its antics and grace.
I am excited for you to discover the beauty of this special area of north east Scotland, for yourself. The ‘Lake of the Cows’ (‘Loch na Bo’ in Scottish gaelic) grounds the surrounding ancient woodland trails, and all of its dragonflies and swans, its pine martens and red squirrels, even the occasional roe deer. From the house on the loch, you are at the epicentre of Scottish culture. Historical golf courses and world-renowned whisky distilleries, the cashmere industry, and other Scottish delicacies are in abundance thanks to the dedication of our neighbours and families, that have, over the years, established themselves as global purveyors of Scottish heritage.
Whether you are sharing this time with friends, family, colleagues, or simply yourself, I hope that your reflections, experiences and the memories you create will be enhanced by the feeling that is here, at Loch na Bo.
It is a privilege to be a guardian of this enchanting, historic home and estate. And even more of a privilege to share it with you, our guests from around the world. Our hope is that the special memories created in this unique and gentle place will draw you back to this land once more.
